Theatre and the cultural landscape – my work on stage
Approach
In theatre I create a world in which movement extends language and stories are not only heard but experienced physically. Musical theatre, comedy or drama – I love working with director and cast to shape the body language of each character precisely. The focus is on the fine details: from quiet, many-layered characters who say a great deal with minimal gestures to striking group images that hold the audience through fluid changes of formation.
In my productions dance theatre, acting and music merge into performances that cross genres. They touch, challenge and invite shifts of perspective that turn out to be unexpectedly soothing. My aim is to bring the human themes of life to the stage – with energy, clarity and interaction.
What I offer
- 01
Developing and deepening the physicality of characters, based on the play and the performers’ natural body language.
- 02
Shaping scenes through movement and choreography – including in interplay with music.
- 03
Staging scenes for actors, singers, dancers and extras with an eye for the big picture and the small nuances.
For me, theatre is a space of transformation – on stage and beyond.
